This Privacy Policy describes how TripThis handles information collected through tripthistravelthat.com and through the quote, contact, subscribe, unsubscribe, and claims emails those pages point to. It is written for drivers, fleet coordinators, and shop staff who send us information. It does not describe a product you have not asked for.
Quote and claim notes on this site are collected by email. If a later contract needs additional details, we ask for them in the schedule process, not in a hidden field.

Please do not send government identity numbers, payment card numbers, or medical information through these forms. Quotes and claims on this site are handled by email. If a payment is due, we will send a separate instruction. Do not place card details in a message box.
Like most websites, the server that hosts these pages may log a browser type, a referring page, a truncated network identifier, and the time of a request. We use that log to keep the site available and to understand which guides are read. We do not use it to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell it.
This site does not set advertising cookies. If a future version uses a preference cookie to remember that you closed a notice, that cookie will be described here before it is set.
We do not use your vehicle story to offer unrelated products. A person who asks about a powertrain plan may hear about stated-component or exclusionary options for the same vehicle. That is the same conversation, not a separate mailing list.
Where a privacy law asks us to name a basis, we rely on the following. Preparing a quote you requested is steps toward a contract. Administering a contract you hold is performance of that contract. Sending optional guides is consent, which you can withdraw on the unsubscribe page. Keeping a record of a claim decision is a legitimate interest in showing why a repair was paid or declined, and in meeting record duties that apply to service contracts.
We share information with the people who have to see it to do the job you asked for:
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. A shop receives the claim file, not your marketing preferences.
Marketing notes are sent only after you subscribe or after you ask us to keep you posted at the end of a quote. Every marketing email includes a way back to the unsubscribe page. Unsubscribing stops guides and offers. It does not stop messages about a contract that is still in force, a claim that is open, or a quote you asked us to finish.
We treat a successful unsubscribe as effective for the address you entered. If you enrolled under a second email, unsubscribe that address too.
Quote requests that do not become a contract are kept long enough to finish the conversation and to show what was offered, typically up to twenty-four months, then deleted or reduced to a non-identifying count. Contract and claim files are kept for the life of the contract and for the period afterward that we need to answer a late dispute or a transfer question. Server logs are rotated on a shorter cycle.
We use access limits, reputable hosting, and encrypted transport between your browser and this site. Email is only as private as the path between providers. Do not send secrets you would not put in a letter. No method is perfect. If we learn of an incident that creates a real risk to your information, we will write to the email we hold for you.

Vehicle service contracts are for adults who can enter an agreement. This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child sent a form, email us and we will delete the submission.
The desk that reads these forms may store information in more than one place where our email and hosting providers operate. If you write to us from elsewhere, you understand that your message will be handled under this policy. Where a local law gives you rights this policy does not limit, those rights still apply.
Share buttons open a third-party window so you can post a link to this site. Those services have their own policies. We do not receive your social password. We only learn that a share window was requested if your browser tells our page that the button was used, and we do not store that event against your name.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date below. A change that materially expands how we use quote information will be mentioned in the next marketing email as well, so subscribers are not surprised. Contract administration continues under the policy and the schedule that applied when you enrolled, plus any notice we are required to give.
