These Terms & Services explain how TripThis describes, quotes, and administers vehicle service contracts on tripthistravelthat.com. They are the rules for using this website and for asking us to prepare a contract. They are not themselves your service contract. If you enroll, the schedule, component list, and signature pages you receive control the repair benefit.
By sending a form, requesting a quote, or continuing to browse, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please leave the site and do not submit vehicle information.
TripThis prepares vehicle service contracts, sometimes called mechanical breakdown protection or an auto warranty. A contract may pay for the repair or replacement of listed parts that fail after the waiting period, subject to the deductible, the dollar limit, and the exclusions printed on that contract.
A service contract is not a promise that a vehicle will never break, and it is not a substitute for maintenance. It does not pay for collision, comprehensive physical damage, liability to other people, or injury. Those needs belong to other products you may hold separately.
Prices shown on the pricing page, including the Essential, Premier, and Elite examples, are illustrations for a typical late-model passenger car. Your amount depends on the vehicle year, odometer, usage, selected deductible, term, and the contract family. A figure on this website is not a bill and not a bindable offer.
A quote becomes a contract only when we email a schedule, you accept it in the manner the schedule describes, and any initial amount due is received. Until then, either party may stop the conversation.
We consider passenger cars, crossovers, pickups, vans, and certain powersport vehicles that meet the year and mileage band of the contract family you request. We may decline a vehicle that is modified for competition, used commercially beyond the work-vehicle schedule, branded as salvage in a way our guidelines exclude, or already showing a failure you want the contract to pay.
You confirm that the year, mileage, and usage you submit are accurate. A material mistake can make a later claim ineligible and can be grounds to cancel the contract from the start.
Covers the engine long block, transmission or transaxle, transfer case, and drive axles as listed. Seals and gaskets are included only when required to complete a covered repair. Smaller electrical parts, comfort features, and wear items are outside this family unless a rider adds them.
Adds named groups such as steering, cooling, fuel delivery, and selected electronics. If a part is not named, it is not covered. This family is deliberately narrower than an exclusionary contract and is priced that way.
Covers mechanical and electrical breakdown except for the items on the exclusion list. The exclusion list always includes maintenance, wear items, body and paint, glass, upholstery, and pre-existing conditions. Read that list. It is the boundary of the promise.
Failure to maintain the vehicle, or continued driving after a warning that causes further damage, can remove that further damage from coverage even if the first failed part was listed.
Coverage for a new contract begins after the waiting period printed on the schedule, measured in days and miles from the effective date, whichever comes later. A condition that existed, or that a reasonable inspection would have found, before the end of that waiting period is pre-existing and is not eligible.
Send the shop estimate, contract number, odometer photo, and a short description of the failure. We may ask for maintenance records or a teardown photo. Do not authorize a full repair until you have written approval if you want the contract to pay. Emergency repairs to prevent further damage may be considered when you write within the time stated on the schedule and the part is listed.
We pay the repair facility, or reimburse you, only up to the approved amount. Betterment, upgrades, and shop supplies beyond the schedule are yours. Labor is paid at the rate on the schedule, not necessarily at every shop’s door rate.
Each contract shows a per-repair limit and an aggregate limit. Once the aggregate is reached, the contract ends even if time or miles remain. The deductible applies per repair visit unless the schedule says otherwise. Rental or trip-interruption days, if any, are a daily cap for a covered repair that keeps the vehicle out of service, not a standby travel benefit.
You may request cancellation by email. If you cancel before the waiting period ends and no claim has been paid, we return the amount you paid for the contract, less any stated processing fee. After coverage has begun, any refund is pro rata for the unused time or miles, whichever is less generous, minus claims paid and the processing fee. If claims paid already exceed the unused value, no refund is due. We may cancel for non-payment, misrepresentation, or a vehicle that no longer meets eligibility, with the same refund math.
Most contracts may transfer once to a private buyer of the same vehicle if you request the transfer before the sale and pay the fee on the schedule. The remaining term transfers. It does not restart. Commercial resale or auction sale may be excluded.
You may use this site to learn about plans, send a quote request, subscribe to email updates, or unsubscribe. You may not scrape the site, submit false vehicle data, or use the forms to harass the desk. Content on the site is owned by TripThis. You may share links. You may not copy the contract language or the logo for your own product.
A quote request, a contact note, a subscribe form, or a booked review is a request for us to email you. Message rates do not apply because we do not send SMS from these forms. You can unsubscribe from marketing notes on the unsubscribe page. Emails about a contract you hold, including claims, are part of that contract and continue while it is active.
Pages on this site explain how our contracts usually work. They are not legal, tax, or mechanical advice for your situation. A technician’s diagnosis controls what failed. The schedule controls whether that failure is payable.
To the extent allowed, TripThis is not liable for lost wages, lost trips, or shop delays except for the benefits printed in a contract that is actually in force. The site is provided as available. We may change pages, plan examples, and these terms. The terms you see when you submit a form are the ones that apply to that submission. A contract already issued changes only by a written endorsement.
If a claim decision is not what you expected, reply to the claim email and ask for a second read. Include the line of the schedule you believe applies. If we still disagree, the dispute path printed on your contract controls, including any required notice period. Website disagreements that are not about an issued contract should be emailed to care@tripthistravelthat.com. We will try to resolve them directly.
We may update these Terms & Services. The date below changes when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new terms for new submissions. Issued contracts keep the terms that were in force when they were issued, plus any endorsement you accepted.
